Departures on Tuesday and Friday

Train will depart from Heuston Station and head in a south westerly direction through the suburbs of Dublin. You will travel through the countryside of Co. Kildare and then into the middle of the country passed the Bog of Allen. Continue on through the town of Tullamore, famous for their signature whiskey, Tullamore D.E.W. The River Shannon is then crossed which signifies the border between the two provinces of Leinster and Connacht. At this point you will be surrounded by bogs on both sides of the tracks and you will get a first look at the gorgeous Galway Bay on the way into Galway.

The tour will depart from right outside Galway Railway Station which is in the centre of Galway City and you will begin to head for Connemara. You may be able to get a look at Ireland's second largest lake (Lough Corrib) on the right hand side on the train.

As the day continues, pass through Moycullen village and then through the village of Oughterard and take in the fragrance of the peat fires which make special blue smoke. Then feast your eyes on the sheer beauty of Connemara where there are mountains and lakes all to take in.

Stop at Peacockes hotel and Tavern at the Crossroads of Connemara called Maam Cross. Here you will stop for and will have time to do some shopping or grab a coffee.

Continue the day tour by travelling between the two mountains Twelve Bens and Maaturk which are located in Maam Valley. You will pause briefly at the quaint little village of Leenane which is located at the head of Killary Harbour. Witness the stunning scenery of Kylemore Abbey where you will stop for almost two hours for lunch and exploring. While you're there why not visit the beautiful Victorian Walled Garden and a Gothic Church.

After Kylemore Abbey travel through the village of Letterfrack and see the bays and inlets of the sea/ocean. After getting back on the Wild Atlantic Way you will stop at the Sky Road where you can capture come truly spectacular photographs as there are fantastic views of the Atlantic Ocean. As the tour is commencing you will stop at the town of Clifden where you can grab a pint or get some shopping done.

After the stop at Clifden, you head back through Galway and have another stop at Maam Cross if needed and arrive back in Galway by 6:30pm.

Stop at Kylemore Abbey and Gardens for lunch, which is a 19th Century castle which is owned by nuns who run a restaurant, gift shop and pottery.

Stop off at Clifden, the colourful little town, great place for tourists to visit and then travel back to Maam cross but head southwards through the Screeb, Costello and Rossaveal.

The tour of Connemara heads towards Galway City along the shores of Galway Bay and see the blue waters of the Atlantic at the unique limestone of the Burren and the Hills of Clare. After your day tour you will return back to Galway Station.

Having journeyed from Dublin through Kildare and Limerick, you’ll travel along the route that has become known as the “Wild Atlantic Way” in county Clare which takes you along beautiful golden beaches and passes through some lovely little towns including Lahinch, which is Ireland’s premier surfing destination.
Cliffs of Moher
Your first stop will be at the Cliffs of Moher (arriving at 11:00) where you will see spectacular views across the Atlantic Ocean. The cliffs are an incredible sight to behold, over 200 metres in height and running for over 8 kilometeres in length (5 miles). You’ll spend 2 hours at the cliffs so there’ll be plenty of time for photo ops and visiting all the sights. As the Atlantic's waves crash against the towering sea cliffs, you are free to roam and enjoy the natural beauty of the area. You will also be learn about the cliffs and all about the Burren area in the wonderful Atlantic Edge Interpretive Centre located just beside the cliffs.
Explore the Burren
The tour then continues through the Burren National Park. This is one of the most unique places in Ireland and has to be seen to be believed. The distinctive Burren region has a unique ecosystem, with rare native Irish plants and flowers. Boasting three quarters of Ireland's natural flora, as well as historic megalithic tombs, fairy forts and celtic crosses, the Burren is a highlight of the day for many.
Experience culture in Galway City
Next stop - Galway! You will travel along the famous Galway Bay and into Ireland’s cultural capital; the medeivel city of Galway (arriving at 15:20). Here, you will have the opportunity to take in this truly wonderful city, with street performers and artists in plentiful supply, as well as traditional Irish pubs and cafes and craft shops. You’ll receive a 30 minute guided tour around the city and you will also have time to explore yourself.

To start, you will visit the historical Rock of Cashel which overlooks the majestic Golden Vale in County Tipperary. Venture out of the Dublin city centre and into one of Ireland’s most intriguing locations
Departing Dublin in the early morning from Suffolk Street visitors will set off in a clean and comfortable modern bus to reach the first location of the day, the Giant’s Causeway where breath taking views of Whiteparks Bay and Portbradden will be visible. A lunch break will be required before the adventure of the world-famous site is underway.
The first stop of the day takes visitors through the iconic beech tree avenue known as the Dark Hedges, famously featured as the Kingsroad in Game of Thrones. Whether you're a fan or simply a curious explorer, this natural tunnel never fails to impress.
Witness the impressive natural wonder that is known as the Giant’s Causeway and explore over 40,000 interlocking basalt columns that make this site extraordinary. Formed 50 million years ago the geological masterpiece never fails to amaze visitors and remains a to be an unforgettable and outstanding attraction to this day.
The tour continues onto Belfast City where free time will be given for you to explore the magnificent landmarks of Northern Ireland’s capital. The opportunity to take a political taxi tour through West Belfast will be available for those interested in discovering the symbolic spots associated with the events of the troubles. This is not included in the overall day tour price (extra fee of 15 pounds pp) but is highly recommended and worthwhile.
During this stop, iconic sites like the Opera House and City Hall can be explored. If you wish to take a taxi tour the driver can arrange this allowing you to see the Peace Wall and other landmarks that represent Belfast’s immersive history.
The tour will make its way back to Dublin aiming to arrive in city centre for 8.00PM. This is subject to change based on traffic conditions and is an approximate estimate.

Train will depart from Heuston Station and head in a south westerly direction through the suburbs of Dublin. You will travel through the countryside of Co. Kildare and then into the middle of the country passed the Bog of Allen. Continue on through the town of Tullamore, famous for their signature whiskey, Tullamore D.E.W. The River Shannon is then crossed which signifies the border between the two provinces of Leinster and Connacht. At this point you will be surrounded by bogs on both sides of the tracks and you will get a first look at the gorgeous Galway Bay on the way into Galway.

The tour will depart from right outside Galway Railway Station which is in the centre of Galway City and you will begin to head for Connemara. You may be able to get a look at Ireland's second largest lake (Lough Corrib) on the right hand side on the train.

As the day continues, pass through Moycullen village and then through the village of Oughterard and take in the fragrance of the peat fires which make special blue smoke. Then feast your eyes on the sheer beauty of Connemara where there are mountains and lakes all to take in.

Stop at Peacockes hotel and Tavern at the Crossroads of Connemara called Maam Cross. Here you will stop for and will have time to do some shopping or grab a coffee.

Continue the day tour by travelling between the two mountains Twelve Bens and Maaturk which are located in Maam Valley. You will pause briefly at the quaint little village of Leenane which is located at the head of Killary Harbour. Witness the stunning scenery of Kylemore Abbey where you will stop for almost two hours for lunch and exploring. While you're there why not visit the beautiful Victorian Walled Garden and a Gothic Church.

After Kylemore Abbey travel through the village of Letterfrack and see the bays and inlets of the sea/ocean. After getting back on the Wild Atlantic Way you will stop at the Sky Road where you can capture come truly spectacular photographs as there are fantastic views of the Atlantic Ocean. As the tour is commencing you will stop at the town of Clifden where you can grab a pint or get some shopping done.

After the stop at Clifden, you head back through Galway and have another stop at Maam Cross if needed and arrive back in Galway by 6:30pm.

The tour for Connemara leave the city centre of Galway and you head towards the village of Moycullen and Oughterard. You will then start to witness the beautiful scenery of Connemara with gorgeous views of the countryside.

Stop at Kylemore Abbey and Gardens for lunch, which is a 19th Century castle which is owned by nuns who run a restaurant, gift shop and pottery.

Stop off at Clifden, the colourful little town, great place for tourists to visit and then travel back to Maam cross but head southwards through the Screeb, Costello and Rossaveal.

The tour of Connemara heads towards Galway City along the shores of Galway Bay and see the blue waters of the Atlantic at the unique limestone of the Burren and the Hills of Clare. After your day tour you will return back to Galway Station.
