Where to find the Teeling Whiskey Distillery
Teeling Whiskey Distillery, 13-17 Newmarket, Merchants Quay, Dublin 8, D08 KD91, Ireland. The distillery is located in an historic part of Dublin City, close to both Christ Church and St. Patrick's Cathedrals, as well as being less than 1km from the home of Guinness.
By Bike
Cycling to Teeling Distillery is relatively easy, and you will pass by some iconic Dublin attractions on the way from the city. There is a Dublin Bike station located on Francis Street and Guinness Storehouse.

Located in inner Dublin City in The Liberties where it is steeped in whiskey history and community spirit. Teelings is an Irish owned and family run business and whiskey has been in the Teeling family since 1782. Teeling Distillery Select Tasting Tour
It had been almost 125 years since whiskey was produced in this part of Dublin, before the Teeling brothers stepped up and led a Dublin whiskey revival staying true to their family roots while putting their own unique and innovative twist to it.
Teeling Whiskey is a family owned and Irish run business and whiskey making has been in their family since 1782.
You will learn about the Liberties area, and how this small part of Dublin once produced most of the world's whiskey. As a fully operational whiskey distillery, you will get up close to the complete whiskey making process, and you'll experience the sights, smells, and sounds of a real working distillery.
Teelings now offer a langauge app for international tourists and lamguages included on it are French, German, Spanish, Italian, Mandarin & Dutch.

"Fantastic tour with a very enthusiastic and amenable guide. It felt really authentic to be inside a functioing distillery and see all the all the live processes. Make sure to give yourself time to hang out in the bar afterwards. We were a group of five doing the Distillery Select Tasting during their first week of reopening after the lockdown. It was good value for money, but I would love to return and do the Single Malt Tasting if they bring it back. To top off the day they gave us all free gift bags which had lots of nice souvenirs. Thank you!"

Pearse Lyons Distillery at St. James is a stunning boutique distillery located in the Liberties, Dublin. Distillery Signature Tour and Tasting
The Distillery Tour gives an insight into the whiskey heritage and stories behind the iconic Dublin district known as The Liberties. Visitors can also touch, taste and smell every step of the distilling process, meet with the passionate distillers and taste the signature Pearse Irish Whiskey.
On this tour, you will get a detailed tour of every step in the distilling process from Pearse Lyon’s own specially trained and very well-informed tour guides, and you’ll also be treated to a sampling of four of the signature Irish Whiskeys; Pearse Original, Distiller’s Choice, Founder’s choice, a 12-year-old single malt and Ha’Penny 4 Cask Irish Whiskey. On this guided tour, you will also uncover the background of this historic location in Dublin, and its importance to Pearse Lyons. You will be guided around the state-of-the-art distillery - and the 800-year-old cemetery.
Where is Pearse Lyons Distillery?
Pearse Lyons Distillery is located at 121-122 James's Street, Dublin 8, D08 ET27. The Distillery is located on the grounds of the historic James' Church and Graveyard on James' St, close to the Guinness Storehouse and Roe & Co Distillery.
Hop-On Hop-Off Tour
Take either Big Bus Tour, DoDublin Tour, or City Sightseeing Tour to the Pearse Lyons Distillery and hop off at the designated stop right beside the distillery.
Walking
The Distillery is less than 2km walking distance from Temple Bar - this is a 20 minute walk approx. On the way, you will pass Christ Church Cathedral, Dublinia, the Chester Beatty Library, and Roe & Co Distillery.
Dublin Bus
Dublin Bus route numbers 13, G1, G2, S2, and 123 each serve Pearse Lyons Distillery, stopping on James’s St. Take the 13/123 from O’Connell St., D’Olier St. or Dame St. Buses run every 10-15 minutes. The bus stop is just across the road from the distillery. Plan your journey on the Dublin Bus website.
Cycling
From the city centre, you will cycle by some iconic Dublin attractions on the way from the city. Dublin Bike stations are located at James' Street and Royal Hospital.
Luas
There is a Luas stop at James' Hospital, only 400m from the Distillery.

Stop 1. Cathal Brugha Street – Tour starts here
Stop 2. O'Connell Street/Abbey Street – Here you can see the statue of Daniel O’Connell,
who gained Catholic Emancipation for Ireland in 1829 and managed to overthrow the penal
laws which denied many rights for Catholics in Ireland.

Stop 3. Nassau Street (corner of Dawson Street) – Explore the Book of Kells
at Trinity College which dates back to 800 A.D. The Book of Kells contains
and illustrates the four gospels of the New Testament.

Stop 4. Nassau Street – Take a visit to the National Library and Museum, or the
wonderful Archeology Museum, both of which are open freely to the public.

Stop 5. Merrion Square – Here you can visit the National Gallery which is home to
some of the world’s finest art.

Stop 6. Merrion Street – Leinster House, the location of the Dáil (Irish House of
Parliament) is well worth a visit. The Natural/ History Museum is also located beside it.

Stop 7. St Stephens Green (temporarily moved to top of Dawson Street) – St Stephens
Green is a city centre public park that dates back to 1664. Originally it was designed for
the local residents that resided in the nearby Georgian townhouses but was opened to
the public in 1880. You can also visit The Little Museum of Dublin nearby at the northern
end of St Stephens Green Park.
Stop 7A. Pearse Street – Stop is located opposite the Trinity City Hotel.

Stop 8. College Green – The Old Parliament House was the original home to the Irish
parliament before the Act of Union of 1800, which dissolved the Irish parliament and
was unified under Westminster. Nearby is Trinity College, Ireland’s first University
and home to the Book of Kells.

Stop 9. Dame Street – if you want to explore Dublin’s nightlife, then the famous Temple
Bar is the place to be!

Stop 10. Cork Hill – Dating back to the 12th century, Dublin Castle has been seat of
government for many centuries. Originally built as a fortification by the Normans, the
fortification was gradually modified over the centuries and eventually turned into a
Georgian styled Palace

Stop 11. Christ Church Place – Dating back to 1030 and founded by the Hiberno –
Norse King of Dublin, Christ Church Cathedral is the centre of medieval Dublin and
was situated near the old Viking settlement of Wood Quay.
Stop 12. Patrick Street – St Patrick’s Cathedral dates back to 1191 and is the National
Cathedral for the Church of Ireland.

Stop 13. St James Gate – St. Jame’s Gate Brewery was founded by Arthur Guinness in
1759. By 1886 it was the largest brewery in the world. With a 9,000 year lease, there’s
plenty of time to have a pint of the black stuff at the Guinness Storehouse.

Stop 15. Old Kilmainham - Discover Kilmainham Gaol which played an iconic part in
the aftermath of the 1916 Rising as many of the rebel leaders perished at this location.
Stop 16. St. Johns Road – Heuston Station
Stop 17. Phoenix Park – Discover one of Europe’s largest city parks which is home to Arás
an Uachtaráin (Official residence of the President of Ireland) and Dublin Zoo, which is one
of world’s oldest zoo’s.

Stop 19. Collins Barracks – See Collins Barracks Museum which dates back to 1702,
which originally served as a barracks for the British Army.

Stop 20. Smithfield – See Ireland’s most famous whiskey distillery, the old Jameson Whiskey
Distillery, which was founded in 1781.

Stop 21. Ormond Quay - The Four Courts date back to 1802 and is an iconic landmark of
Dublin. It was the scene of fierce fighting during the Irish Civil War in 1922 and is still the
seat of the Supreme Court to this day.

Stop 23. O'Connell Street - The GPO (General Post Office) which opened in 1818, is the
headquarters of An Post and is Dublin's main post office. It also served as the headquarters
of the 1916 Rising. You can also visit the GPO Witness History Museum which vividly takes
you back to what life was like during 1916 and the effects it had on Dublin at the time.

Tour Information
Original Tour:
- First Tour departs Stop 1 at 09:00, last tour departs Stop 1 at 18:00
- Buses every 30 minutes from 09:00 to 10:00, every 20 minutes until 16:00, and every 30 minutes until 18:00.
Docklands Tour:
- Departs at 5 past the hour from the 2nd stop on the Original Tour (Called Stop A of Docklands Tour)
- First tour departs at 09:05. Last tour departs at 18:05
Customers must ask Bus Driver for a Ticket for Free Entry to Little Museum
*One child under 15 travels free with each adult. Tickets must be purchased for additional children and Student tickets must be purchased for children 15 years old and over.
*Max 8 child tickets per booking (including FREE). Any addition children per group must hold a student ticket.
Live tours are provided in English only, except for the German Live Tour which operates on Wednesdays Friday's and Saturdays only during the high season
Multi-lingual buses are provided in German, Spanish, French, Italian, Portuguese, Chinese, Russian and Irish.
Please look for the sign on the front of the bus.
Starting from the first departure of the day, every bus on the hour features a Live, English Tour. Every second bus, offers a multi-lingual service.

Children travelling for FREE do not need a ticket.
All DoDublin buses are wheelchair accessible.

Getting to Teeling Whiskey Distillery
Teeling Distillery is located in Newmarket Square, which is a short walk from Dublin’s St. Patrick’s Cathedral.

Hop-On Hop-Off Tour
The Dublin Hop-On Hop-Off Tour has a stop right outside Teeling Whiskey Distillery.
Walk
From Trinity College Dublin, the Distillery is 1.7km walking distance - this is a 20 minute walk approx. (On the way, we suggest stopping by St. Patrick’s Park, it’s a favourite among Dubliners!)
Dublin Bus
You can take Dublin Bus Route 27, 56a, or 151 to St. Luke’s Avenue - the bus stop here is less than 200 metres from the distillery.
Cycling
Getting to Teeling Distillery is relatively easily by bike, and can be reached very quickly from the city. You will pass by some iconic Dublin attractions on the way from the city. There is a Dublin Bike station located on Francis Street and Guinness Storehouse, or there are bike stands to secure your bike just outside the distillery.
Luas
There is a Luas stop at Fatima, which is just over 1km from the Distillery
